Where to Find It (Macintosh)

On the Macintosh, the software typically is installed into the Applications folder, in a folder named something like RATS zzzz 10.x where zzzz is the product type (Std, Pro, Trial or Classroom). 10.x is the specific version number installed. Within that, the RATS application itself is called RATSPro or RATS. There will also be a RATSData application. There is also a Licensing folder within that which includes the licensing software—do not try to execute that separately.

Everything else should be in folders within /Users/Shared/RATS. Those folders are

•"Documentation" has PDF versions of all of the RATS documentation.

•"Examples" includes our standard examples from the manuals.

•"Papers" includes subfolders with replications of important published papers.

•"Procedures" includes the main procedures distributed with RATS. By default, this is the folder in which RATS will look for procedures.

•"Textbooks" includes subfolders with worked examples from over 30 textbooks.

•"Other Resources" includes subfolders:

•"Programming Manual" has the Enders-Doan "RATS Programming Manual" with examples.

•"Bayesian E-Course" has the RATS Bayesian Econometrics e-course with examples.

•"SEIR Model" has a workbook with examples for analyzing the SEIR model of contagion.
