Reading and writing ODBC database

I am planning to use an ODBC database with RATS. Reading an ODBC database works with the professional version, but I would also like to write RATS generated time-series (f.ex. indicators) back into the database. Is this possible? Is MS Access a good choice for a time-series based ODBC database?

We haven't put COPY into ODBC into RATS, but I don't think there's a major problem with that as long as we write entire tables (the way that we do with spreadsheets). I have limited experience with MS Access; it seemed fine, but it did have a tendency to produce truly massive files (many, many times as large as the amount of actual data) if you weren't careful.
