Menus / Project Menu |
The Project Menu creates or works with a Project displayed in a Project Window.
New Project
This is identical to File—New—Project. We have also put it on the Project Menu for convenience. This pops up the New/Edit Project dialog for entering the basic information for the project as a whole. If you accept that, it will create an empty Project Window.
Open Project
This is identical to opening the project file through the File—Open picking the RATS Project type in the file dialog. We've included a separate operation for convenience. It opens a project file and displays its directory in a Project Window.
Edit Properties
This pops up the New/Edit Project dialog for editing the basic information for the project.
New Program File
This pops up the New Program in Project dialog for initializing a program file and adding to the program, the new program file, a corresponding output file and (if you request) the data file to be used in the program.
Add File
Adds a copy of a file (any of the RATS file types or any data file format) to the project.
Add Window(s)...
Displays the Window Selection dialog to allow you to pick windows (such as graph or report windows) to add to the project.
View Items
Displays any selected items which RATS knows how to display. (Any RATS native file type plus any plain text file.) Note that RATS does not display data files from other programs.
Edit Item Properties
This pops up the Edit Project Item dialog which allows you to rename and/or change the comments describing the directory item.
Export Item(s)
For each selected item, pops up a separate file dialog to permit you to save a copy to your computer of the contents.
