Non-Cash Prizes (Trophies/Medals/Ribbons)

These are generally simpler than cash prizes. Simply request the number of prizes you have, turn on the Use Tie Breaks? box and read off the results from the printed list. For instance, suppose that you have three overall prizes plus two for each special prize group. Put 3 + None in the Overall boxes and 2 + None in the Per Prize Group boxes.

Here the Group 1 prizes go to J and K, the Group 2 prizes to F and G and the Group 3 prizes to D and E. Players C, A and B are listed in the Group 2 and Group 3 sections with *** as their place to show that they receive the overall place prizes.

If you give consolation awards (ribbons or medals) to anyone who loses a trophy on tie-break, use the + fields in the Print Prize Lists dialog box. For instance, suppose that anyone who ties for a group prize is to receive a medal. Show 3 + None in the Overall and 2 + Ties in the Per Prize Group field. This will show, for example, any other Group 3 players with 3.0 points in places 3, 4, ... If, instead, you give consolation awards to those who tie for the overalls but don't win either an overall or group prize, use 3 + Ties in the Overall and 2 + None in the Per Prize Group. This will show the table above, followed by a separate section labeled Consolation Awards which would show anyone with 3.0 points who were not included in the other lists.
