You may occasionally need to redo the pairings of the games in a tournament section. In most cases, you should be able to just use Edit-Undo to get back to the point where you did the pairings, make whatever corrections are required, then pair again. (Note that if you Undo and then make a change, the Redo stack is no longer available. You have to do the operations over again).

However, if you have made some fairly significant changes since pairing the round, you probably won't want to use undo because you would also undo those later changes as well. The alternative to using Undo is:

  1. From a Games Window, select the games you need to pairing over again. In most cases, you will need to redo all the games in a section. See How To: Display a List of Games if you need help creating the proper Games Window.

  1. Choose the Edit-Clear operation. This will clear the pairings and delete the games from the Games Window.

  1. Make the changes which will allow you to pair the round correctly. The most common error is having a player who needs to be checked in or out. See How To: Check Players In or Out. If you have to force a pairing first, see How To: Pair Players Manually.

  1. Do the Section-Pair a Round operation to redo the pairings. Make sure that the round number field in the Pair a Round Dialog Box shows the correct round. If you deleted all the games, WinTD will reset this correctly, but if some games were left, the dialog box will show the next round.
