Kurtosis calculation in Statistics Wizard

Kurtosis calculation in Statistics Wizard

Dear All,

How to interpret excess(Kurtosis) in Statistics wizard. Is it 3 + excess value ?

The statistic produced is the excess kurtosis which is the standardized fourth moment minus 3, so it has expected value zero for a Normal population. Mathematically and statistically, it's the more natural measure.
