Dear Mr. Doan, dear Technical-Support,
We have two problems with the forecast command.
1. The first error is in the forecast of a level variable. We have estimated the rate of change with an AR1 model (equation) and created a formula for the level, which is then the sum of the prior periods level with the current rate of change. The forecast command solves the model, but gives the same values for the rate of change and the level and does not accumulate them. This problem occurs with Rats 10.00c but not with Rats 9.20e. This is unfortunately a serious bug, so we cannot use Rats 10.00.
2. Also, the forecast command produces errors when trying to forecast a constant using a formular. We have set this to 100.65. But the forecast always sets it to 0.
Attached are files that can replicate both problems. Additionally the output of Rats 10.00c as well as Rats 9.20e is included. Both problems do not occur with Rats 9.20e.
Can these serious errors be fixed?
Thanks for your efforts in advance
With kind regards
Finn Dumoulin
