How To: Add Players to a Team

There are several ways to add players to a team in a team section. (Adding a player to a team in a combined tournament is really simple: just change the Team ID).

•You can use the Team Roster tab in the Add/Edit a Player dialog box for the team. This allows you to add new players to the team, change the board order, etc.

•You can drag the individuals from a master file onto the team's name in a Player Window. If team players have to play in rating order (Play in Rating Order checked in the Team v Team tab in the Add/Edit a Section dialog), they will automatically be assigned to boards based upon that. If the players can play in any order, they will be added to the end of the current line up, so you will have to manually adjust the board order. (The order in which you select the players in the Player Window will determine the order in which they are added). To manually adjust the order, double click on the team name to bring up the Add/Edit a Player dialog, and use the operations on the Team Roster tab.

•You can drag a whole team from the Player Window for an old tournament onto a Player Window for the new section. This will not only copy the team record, but will also copy the team's lineup, in order.
