These are only available when a Games Window is active. To open a Games Window, select one or more sections from the active tournament and do List Games-Current Round or List Games-Combined Sections from the Section menu. You can also get a Games Window which shows the games for a single player - see How To: Check a Player's Games.
Brings up the Enter Game Results Dialog Box, which allows you to enter or change the result of the selected game. If you selected more than one game in the Games Window, WinTD will display a separate dialog box for each game. You can also bring up the game results dialog box by double-clicking on a game in the Games Window.
If you are transferring results from a pairing sheet, it is usually much faster to use the Quick Entry process for entering scores.
Allows you to swap colors for the selected game(s) (i.e. switch the player playing White to Black and vice versa). WinTD will ask you to verify the new colors. Answer "Yes" to swap colors or "No" to cancel the swapping operation. Note that you can also do this by simply dragging and dropping a player from the white column to the black column in a Games window.
Allows you to change the players for the selected board. This operation brings up a Manual Pairing Dialog Box for the selected game, displaying the current player information. Note that if both players have games listed in the Games window, you can also use drag-and-drop to accomplish the same thing.
Change Board Number...
This allows you to change the board number for a (single) selected game. Other boards are shifted to make this possible. For instance, if you change board 38 to 31, the current boards 31 to 37 will shift down one.
Clear Results
This clears any results entered for the selected games.
Show Open
The active Games Window will display only the games which are still open, that is, those that have no result entered.
Show All
The active Games Window displays the original list of games. You can use this after you've done the Show Open operation if you want to see all the games again.
Split Results
This creates two separate game records, one for each player. Use this only if you need to input results which don't match (see How To: Enter Non-matching Results).
Show Expanded Matches/Show Pairings
For sections with multiple games per round for each pairing, the Games Window will, by default, show only the pairings for that round (i.e. each pair of players will only be listed once). You can use this view to examine and, if necessary, modify the pairings. To print pairing sheets or to enter game results, use the Show Expanded Matches operation to switch to a "games" view which shows all the games between each set of players. Use Show Pairings to switch back to the "pairings" view.
