This page provides an overview of the WinTD menus. To see a list of the operations on a particular menu, just click on the name of the menu. If you are new to WinTD, we recommend that you look over this page and then continue with Setting Up Players and Teams.
Use this menu for most functions which apply to the tournament as a whole, such as creating or saving tournament files. Note that all printing-related functions are found on the Reports menu. |

Standard Edit menu operations such as Undo, Redo, Cut, Copy, and Paste. Also includes the Change Layout... operation which allows you to control how information is displayed in Players, Team, and Master windows. |

The Reports menu contains all of the functions related to producing printed output, such as pairing sheets, wall charts, and cross tables, as well as operations for displaying and printing prize lists and standings. |

This menu handles most of the functions which apply to sections of a tournament, such as creating tournament sections, pairing rounds, etc. Most of these operations are only available when a Sections Window is active. |

This menu handles most of the functions which apply to individual players in the tournament. It also manages the lists of players. Most operations are only available when a Players Window is active. |

This menu handles the functions which apply to individual games, such as entering scores, correcting colors, etc. These operations require that a Games Window be active. |

Note that you often need to select one or more items from the appropriate type of window before you can do certain operations. For example, to assign a bye to a particular player, you select a player (or players) from a tournament Players Window and then do Assign Byes from the Players menu.
