Dialog Box: Adjourned Games

This dialog box pops up if you attempt to pair a round when one or more games from earlier rounds have no scores entered yet. Usually this indicates that you made an error—you either are pairing the wrong section or you forgot to enter the scores for the previous round. If so, or if you are in any way confused about the dialog, cancel the dialog box (which will abort the pairing process) and get things straightened out.

If, in fact, you do intend to pair a round with one or more unfinished games, read on. Notice that there are a full set of results under each player. The scores do not have to add up to 1.0. You can, if you wish, treat one player (for pairing the next round) as a win and the other as a draw. These "scores" will be forgotten as soon as the round is paired. If the game is still unfinished when a subsequent round is paired, you will see the same dialog again and will have to enter the information again.
