FIDE Mode is a choice that can be made for a tournament, which locks out a number of features which are incompatible with FIDE's rules for conduct of a (FIDE-ratable) tournament. Among these are

 

•No full point requested byes

•No mismatched results

It also limits the choice for the Pairing Rule Sets for its sections to the FIDE only.
