RATS Editor: Running RATS in Interactive Mode

Home Page

← Previous Next →

You can use RATS in either Interactive Mode or Batch Mode.

To start RATS in Interactive Mode, just double-click on the RATS icon.

This brings up the RATS Editor, a text-editor that allows you to execute RATS instructions, view, save, or print output and graphs, and more. You can even run entire RATS programs with a couple of mouse clicks. One of the major advantages of working in interactive mode is that you can quickly modify and re-execute portions of your program, without having to re-run the entire program. You can also have several windows open simultaneously. For example, you can enter your program in one window, and have the output directed to another window.

See Executing Instructions for details on executing RATS instructions.

The Preferences... operation (on the File menu for Windows and UNIX and application menu on the Macintosh) allows you to customize the behavior of RATS in interactive mode.
