Getting Started: The WinTD Interface |
WinTD is basically a "point and click" program. Most tasks are accomplished by selecting items from a window and choosing a menu operation to apply to those items. For example, when you set up a tournament, WinTD displays a Sections Window listing the sections in the tournament. To pair a tournament round, you select one or more sections from the Sections Window, and then choose the Pair a Round operation from the Section menu. Throughout this we will use menu name>operation to describe the menu items, so we would describe this as doing Section>Pair a Round.
WinTD uses several types of windows to display information. The main organization of the software is that a Tournament has Sections, Sections have Players, Players have Games. You can click on the highlighted topics to get more information about these. When you are ready, continue with the WinTD Menus.
